Pedometer steps for yesterday : 6760 (not bad for a gammy hip!!)
after 5 hip/butt/lower back massages, a few hot baths/showers, I may be on the mend! yay!
Can't wait to get out on the weekend for a run/bike ride/walk....either or combination will be fine by me!! I am missing the buzz I get and the energy boosts, but my calorie intake has been great and this morning I weighed in at 84.5kg...so the rest I have had this week has helped!

bloody body is letting me down today :(
barhumbug! I either pinched a nerve in my hip/sciatica/put my hip out
yesterday and OMG I had the worst sleep last night! every time I went to
roll it was agony and I woke, and that was after a hot bath and a
massage! so Hubby has done a thorough massage this morning and I can at
least walk so will just focus on some upper body weights today as I
can't walk my normal 5.6km route (let alone up to the sheds! lol)
I did manage to do 6458 steps yesterday even with a bung hip, so will see how many steps I clock up today being a hobbler, lol....I do eventually once my hip is better, plan to do 10,000 steps or more per day (gotta love pedometers!!! )
"Total Daily Steps: The simplest pedometers only count your steps and display steps and/or distance. This may be all you need to track to keep yourself motivated towards a goal of 6000 steps per day for health, or 10,000 steps per day for weight loss. However, some pedometers (or pedometer functions of other devices) are built for using only during workouts rather than running all day. " found on this Walking site

Weightloss tips from an awesome inspiring woman - Trish :)
You really do have to eat breakfast, it boosts your metabolism. I never ate breakfast before but i do everyday now.
I do have time to eat properly, im just making excuses
I do have time to exercise, i just need to stick to it, i need to make it a priority, me a priority
Weightloss doesnt happen over night, if there was a EASY WAY we would know about it coz we would have seen it on oprah lol. one kilo a week is the healthy amount to lose, some weeks there will be no loss some weeks you mite lose more than a kilo.
Dont give up, one bad meal or snack is not the end of the lifestlye change.
There will be setbacks but i need to get back on track straight away, dont let it turn into a binge session
Keep a diary, track your weight, exercise, measurements and feelings, this is how i identified the causes of my binge eating.
Exercise is important, start slow maybe a pedometer and walking and progress to harder stuff as you get fitter
Make changes slowly, start by dropping portion sizes, add exercise, drink water, eat breakfast, increase protien ( keeps you full longer)
Try new foods, stop drinking soft drink.
When i binge eat the only person im punishing is myself
Eat regularly, keep some almonds in your bag as an emergancy snack
allow yourself one (portion controlled) treat meal a week.
Gah - Feb to April progress pics
I can see slight changes in the 2 month period so am very happy that I may be doing something right!! lol

TODAY!! at last I am up to date with my blog journalling!!!
I have been sick since Monday (combination of neck pain and tummy bug) so not a whole lot of food or excercise since...
today I am starting to feel better, so will squeeze a work out into my day at some point...although I feel like I have a pinched nerve in my hip, so that sucks big time! will focus on weights I think....
the kids are still on holidays so my day is full of whinging and fights, oh the joy!
Yesterday I went to visit my mum and dad for the day before grocery shopping on the way home, so felt a bit like I'd been hit by a truck last night as I was sore/tired/drained and running on zero fuel in my tummy! but still had a lovely time
today is full of washing/cleaning the boys toy area and folding mount foldmore!!! gah, it's my pet hate, lol...
Hubby is away for the day, so just me and the boys, I feel sorry for them already, hahahaha....
Weighin today was 85.4kg (yesterday was 84.4kg, so still all over the place)...
I know that even though the scales haven't moved much for a long while, my clothes have!! I am now a size 12-14, not a 16-18 like I was just 6months ago!!! and since my son weaned last week, I have progressed from a 14F back down to a nice 12DD (which is awesome as I have soooo many lovely wired bras from pre-babies!! and now they fit! ontop of being able to buy bra's soooo much easier in this size, I scored 4 gorgeous padded bras in different colours for $4.50 per bra 2 wks ago, so am loving the no more maternity bra blandness!!!)
and I have a waist!!! omg, it makes me feel soooo much better! so pffft to the scales, I know my body has changed in all the good ways even if I am not the "weight" i want to be yet

15-04-2012 12:25 - ok, be prepared for an Essay, lol
Well today I slept through my 6am alarm (damn going to bed too late, but
you get that with 3 kids 5 and under, I enjoy my 'me time' sooo much at
night, lol
Anyway the kids rocked in at 7am and woke me, so I got up and left Daddy to deal with breakfast so I could get my daily workout in! I must say how awesome my hubby is and such a support!
So I rode my bike for 2.5km and left it at the bottom of a very rocky hill (we live on pretty big farm, so unless a cow or kangaroo decided to take it for a ride, it's safe lol)
I then proceeded to walk for 8.5km up and down hills/rocks/gully's before riding the 2.5km back home....so 12.5km for me is a personal best and really couldn't of done it without being inspired by an awesome woman I met on this site! Dallasmum is my role model! She is freaking amazing (and ran her personal best of 21km today, woot woot!!) she also has a weightloss journal on here that is soooo worth reading!!
And to improve my day even more, I weighed in at 84.45kg this morning!!!!! I am freaking estatic! Oh and super surprised I can still walk! Bahahahha, cause the legs were getting jellyfied around the 9km mark!!
I can't explain why my head is in this awesome headspace right now, I don't feel like I am hyped up on motivation or overly trying to get fitter, it's just becoming so normal for me to JFDI! (Just F***ing do It) I am not dragging my self out of bed, just getting up and going, but I am truly grateful for the awesome women I am surrounding myself with in forums and on FB groups with the same desires/fitness goals/lifestyle changes/challenges that I have!
I have also discovered (through Dallasmum) Fat 2 Fit radio podcasts!!! Omgoodness the information is invaluable! Instead of listening to music I now listen to their podcast shows which make my runs/walks/bike rides fly by whilst learning so many new tools!
And the awesome ladies in my Bubhub due in June 2010 group (we all chat daily on FB now) also inspire me with their transformations while doing Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation 12WBT, the results have been amazing and have made me desire to make my body the best version of itself that I can! This is all for me, no one else, my 'selfish' time to concentrate on making a difference in me!
I love that my clothes now fit better and I can wear things I havent worn for years (due to pregnancies/bfing/weight gain etc!!!)
Oh and another mention/plug is the awesome app I have been using - Myfitnesspal, it makes tracking calories easy and keeps me accountable as I had it on my iPod/smartphone/laptop, so just update it whenever I eat! (writing it all in a notebook is also a great idea if you don't have the app!)
Ok, I have bored you enough with my chatter! But I can't help it! The more I read/learn the more my head is focused! And if that can help even one person want to be a better version of you, than that's freaking awesome!!!!!!

Gah, I am a posting horror case, lol...
currently 85.75kg, BF% 27.5, I have lost 16cm off my body in the last 4wks and I am calorie counting, doing up to 1hr of exercise a day (5.6km walks, runs, bike rides) and feeling heaps better because of it all...my scales haven't budged much but I know my body is changing as my size 12/14 clothes are now fitting comfortably and I don't get so tired chasing my 3 boys around these days, lol
now to try and keep coming back in here to update!!

24-11-2010 08:41 - Emo bunny
Weigh in/s this week:
Monday - 92.7kg
Tuesday - 91.9kg
Wednesday - 91.2kg
I am just in shock, this eating lots of salads/tuna/chicken, portion control, drinking water or tea when I am hungry between meals, limiting snacks and my bread intake (I am a sucker for toast *drool*) is starting to pay off!
Also I finished my bunny and another doll...
Bunny
Doll
I am nearly finished an "Emo" bunny and have 2 more orders for Dolls since yesterday! woot woot

18-11-2010 08:46 - Started making Amigurumi Dolls
I am addicted to the scales, lol...92.7kg this morning so traveling well...
also helps I am eating well to!
B - Scrambled Eggs + Cuppa
L - about half a cup of minestrone soup + cuppa
D - Having Indian for dinner when DH brings it home (Lamb Korma & Rice)
S - Vegemite & Cheese puffs (1 sheet)
Fluid intake - 6
Everyone is sick in my house...well the 2 big boys are better and the baby is sounding/looking 100% better today...now I just have to deal with DH having the dreaded "Man flu" and me feeling like a freight train just hit me...luckily it appears to be about a 24hr thing (if I go by the boys) so should be feeling better soon!
I haven't done any exercise this week (apart from picking up millions of toys per day from inside and the back yard, lol)
i have been crocheting! My latest thing is making Amiguruni Dolls!! and I am loving it, plus feeling pretty proud of myself,
I bought a pattern from SherriCrochet as I loved the dolls IzzySnookles makes (and she uses this basic pattern) and as I really didn't feel I could afford spending the $35 + postage she charges, i paid $5 for the pattern and $6 for the wool and put my use of Youtube to good use, lol...
DOLL I just made...
now I have started on a bunny rabbit (free pattern from the net) which is really cute.
ok, better go, baby needs to go to bed soon and I need another cuppa,
If you are reading this, have a wonderful day!

10-11-2010 11:15 - Abit about meeee
Just a bit about me:
I am the mother of 3 boys:
Jack is 4yrs old
Max is 2yrs old
Luke is 5mths old
and I have been with my husband for 22yrs, 6yrs married...he is my best friend in the world (and I have 3 very close female friends that I love to bits)
I am shy with anyone I don't know, but can be crazy loud with my family & friends, lol
I hate to ring people, but love getting calls, drop ins or emails!!
My lowest weight in 15yrs was 75kg at my wedding, and now that I have completed my family it is truly time to move the cuddly bits!

Ok, I have been pretty slack lately (not overly bad, just not keeping track of foods/amounts etc)
So starting back into today!
Will have to weighin tomorrow as the scales need a new battery, argghhh...so will get that sorted asap!
My aim is to lose 5-10kg in the next 8wks! (brings me to Christmas roughly)....
Not sure if it is possible whilst Bfeeding, but I am going to do my best and keep my supply up!
Lots of fresh foods/veg/water and portion control....also weights/walking to get the butt moving (in a good way, lol)
so the plan is to get into the 80's as far as I can in 8wks...I think I am roughly 94-95kg at the moment, but will confirm tomorrow if I can get the silly scales working...and measure the appropriate body parts!
Just so sick of feeling "rounded" and "robust" bahahahahaa....
and My other challenge is to post daily! eeek, here's hoping that challenge is the hardest part,

91.95kg this morning, so sadly have gained 450gms this week, not lost...
anyway, I have my 6wk check up this afternoon and then I can get stuck into some weights as well as cardio...thinking that I may try the C25k and hopefully shift the weight that has attached itself to my legs/butt during this pregnancy!! lol

Fresh out of the oven
Little man at 1hr old
5 days old and at home
Ok, today I weighed in at 89.4kg (after breakfast as I forgot earlier) so am down 5.6kg since having bub, now to keep eating healthy and work out an exercise plan once I have my 6wk check up![]()

Thursday night (10th June, 40wks + 6days) while cooking dinner, I felt a
"gush" at 5.15pm, ok that was interesting, lol...told DH to take over
the cooking for a second as my water had broken and I would be right
back, lol, he took it pretty well!....
so I came back after changing my pants/pad and we ate dinner....had another little gush, but then thought maybe I had incontinence!!! epppp, lol...as the liquid was clear...finished dinner and then took some time in my recliner to think about whether this was it or not?? hahahaa...and DH gave the boys a bath and got them ready for bed just incase...(we had been waiting for something to happen for a week, so were a bit cautious this was just another blip)
Then I had a huge gush, (which I couldn't control, so decided I didn't have incontinence after all, lol)....decided to ring the hospital and see what they had to say....due to me being GBS positive and 1 wk overdue, they told me to come straight in to be hooked up to the anti-biotic's and monitoring...so at last something was happening!!!!
So after assessing that my girlfriend wouldn't arrive for an hour to stay with the kids (as she had to get home from work first), I reluctantly rang my mum (who had just arrived a few days before to see me (and to check if bub was ever coming) and to see my grandad (who's 92)...I love my mum, but she stresses me out and drives me insane at times, lol...but she was wonderful and came down (my grandad lives 2mins around the corner from me) and waited with the boys till my girlfriend arrived...
We put the boys to bed and they both were not pleased that I was going after we explained what was happening....Jack decided he did NOT want "blobby out" and cried so much it was hard for me to leave happily....*sigh*....however it seems he went straight to sleep not long after I left...
so the trip to the hospital was fun this time, we couldn't help but laugh all the way as the last 2 trips were so painful and rushed...
Arrived at the hospital, wandered up to the birthing suites and was settled into a Delivery suite, hooked up to anti-biotic's every 4hrs....changed my pad and the fluid was now pale pink, so they asserted my membranes had broken and yes something was happening....mmmm, slowwwwwly!!!!
So after being hooked up to the monitor, everything with bub was fine and I was fine...everything was just fine! but NOTHING was happening...hahahahaha
so DH was told to go home and rest (we live about 40mins from the hospital) so at 10.30pm he left, and I was told to rest up and I would be induced in the morning around 6.30am...
at 11.30pm the contractions started....10mins apart, regular and consistent...by 2.30am they were around 7min apart, so the nurse got me to ring DH and tell him, so he came back in around 3.30am....and then they just continued at 10mins apart till 7am...I sort of dozed in between contractions....as much as you can anyway...they checked and I was a whole 3cm dilated...
at 7am they hooked me up to the drip for my induction..yay....and nothing! my "contractions" stopped....I seriously felt like I was just wasting everyone's time, this bub did NOT want to come out...
9.30am I started getting some decent contractions (which I later decided was rubbish, lol) anyway, I breathed through them while sitting on a fit ball and leaning on a mountain of pillows at the side of the bed (with monitors on my tummy for bub and contractions) it was my "happy place" and I breathed through the contractions quietly...even chatting and laughing with DH in between them...then 10.30am arrived and OMGoodness, stuff breathing through the bloody contractions, they hurt like hell and were 3mins apart!!!
Then I decided I could not sit on that ball any longer, so up on the bed, kneeling like I did with my 2nd bub....it was horrible, I wanted to go home, I was crying my heart out and the contractions just kept coming...but to close together, so at 11.30am, they stopped the drip...and after being checked I was still only 5cm dilated...argghhh!!!! I really thought it would be hours of more of the same....
Then the pain in my back got worse and they realised bub was spine against my spine, which was not a nice thing to experience...so onto my side with my leg up, oh the dignity was out the door by then, and the pain at least shifted from my back to my front, but felt like I was being ripped apart....then I had to push....I don't know how, but it went from just 3 of us in the room to about 8! lol...and that was too many!! my lovely middy had told me what I would be doing with my leg (me holding it up etc) but the other people didn't get the memo, so when she told me to lift my leg, another stupid middy grabbed the wrong leg and tried to lift it and the pain was excruciating!! luckily my nice middy yelled at her to back away! lol
and then there was a head!...yay, 1 step closer....
by then I requested DH to go start taking pics as I soooo was never doing this again and wanted something graphic to remind me of that!! lol...
getting the body out was not pleasant but I listened to my middy and he was out, and I ended up with only a tiny little tear!!! YIPPEEE!!! only 2 stitches and a little graze!! the best so far out of my "war wounds" from labour...
Luke James arrived 12.25pm 11th June @ 41wks....7lb 15oz (3.6kg), HC 36.5, Length 52cm.
So glad its over, now to enjoy little Luke xxxx
also thanks if you made it this far, lol...

Hi to anyone reading :0)
I am currently 32wks + 3days and have hit the 90's....will weigh in tomorrow as I forgot today and had breaky before I remembered...
so around 8-9kg gained this pregnancy, which I am pretty pleased with...just under 7wks till bub comes and then I can start focusing on getting healthy via food and once my 6wk check is done, by exercising, which I am actually looking forward to!
the good news is I can still wear my non-maternity jeans so am hoping it's only baby weight I have gained, so getting rid of any other weight hopefully won't be too hard...but then again that is very wishful thinking...
I have a fantastic support group on here in the weightloss section and on FB...so I am positive I can do it!

Just not in the mood today...and it's not like I hate how I am at the
moment anyway, I know I could be happier but I don't think losing weight
is going to be the magic pill to make me "happy" iykwim...
sorry, just having a down day
think AF is coming and that means no BFP for us again this month...
Sorry, just not in a good state of mind.

My friends own a gym and are fitness trainers, so I got an assessment
done today...will get the results back in a few days and go from
there...yay! seems I am a little bit flexible! lol, and did 25 pushups
in 1 minute, go figure, i didn't even think I could do 5...(ok, girly
pushups on knees)..
My Zumba dvd's arrived last night and I did the beginner program today (2x) it was a lot of fun and doesn't feel like exercise at all, but I did work up a sweat...even my 3yr old was trying to dance with me, too cute.

ok so I caved and jumped in the scales this morning...82.65kg...:-) I
always notice a drop when I start tracking food intake...must be
something in that, lol...
Today my little man started his Early childhood classes (pre preschool) so we walked to the school (20min each way) and had a wonderful time although Maxi got a bit restless near the end, but he was so tired poor little guy.
So I have done my 40min walk today and am feeling great! was a lovely warm morning, even though it looks like a storms coming now, so even sweated a little bit and am still feeling good about the whole lifestyle change...
Can't wait until my "zumba" dvd's arrive, I am really looking forward to doing some dancing with my boys...I am pretty sure they will love it...
ok, better go track my food today and work out what I am going to prepare for dinner...before cleaning out the cupboards and hanging some clothes on the airdryer...

Sadly I weighed in at 83.2kg this morning...
but I am aiming to make that less next week!!!
anyway, 1st day of spring, so ready for a "spring clean" of the old body, 3mths (12wks) till I must unveil my summer body...
BRING IT ON!
I also just bought the "Zumba" dvd's so will be dancing up a storm once they arrive...
Off to do some healthy food shopping and then to clean out the cupboard of all bad foods...this week is spring clean week, so out with food/clothes/items/weight not needed or wanted anymore...
clean my house/mind and body!
I can do it because I am worth it..

After being sick over the weekend, I am now at 82.1kg...so not too bad...
feeling back ontop of it all now, so am going to get back into my fitness/get moving routine today...lol, going shopping, so will be quite a bit of walking involved, then Taebo dvd this arvo/night...
Still feeling very postive and focused on food intake...
since being sick my stomach has shrunk so am doing my best to not over eat, just smaller portions and healthy snacks (fruit, nuts) Not that I was bad before, but now it's all about portion control...oh and not just eating carbs...as carbs are NOT my friend...hahahhah
I am determined to get into the 70's before my birthday which gives me about 6wks...so that is highly do-able whilst breastfeeding...and then some..
anyway, that is my short term goal...say 78kg...thats 4kg in 6wks...sounds like a plan Mez

ok so I have walked/jogged 5 days out of 6 and completed 1 Taebo rockin' Abs workout...
Feeling very good (abit sore, but that's ok) and have eaten really quite well too...woot woot...
Now to do another 2 more workouts before the weekend...might try the taebo buns one tomorrow...
Joined another challenge to keep myself motivated...I love chatting about weightloss and learning how others attack their journey...soooo motivating and the more I think/talk/read about weightloss the more it keeps me focused!

lol, sounds like I need to take up Kickboxing!!! sounds like you ladies are on a roll!!
I have been Walking/Jogging with the baby in the pram and the toddler racing me...awesome fun! and then we have been playing soccer in the backyard (myself&baby against toddler) way funny! we are all enjoying the activity and sleeping quite well because of it...
also went to a 5th birthday party on the weekend and went in the Jumping castle with the boys...omgoodness, these kids have sooo much energy, I was puffing so much after just going around it 4 times...hahahhaa, lucky kids don't care about how much mummy wobbles...
Eating is good and moral is up!!
I also purchased a Taebo double DVD as well so am looking forward to getting "rockin" abs and buns...(martial arts/workout)...so that should eat away at the cals and fat storage...

I am going to NOT get on the scales until next monday!! lol, It will be a bit of an effort but my mind needs a break...
So sadly today I am 83.45kg...argghhhh....
oh and NO more cake!!!! too many birthday's lately have not helped my selfcontrol...
I am also going to do 3 sessions of Taebo this week and take my boys for 2 long walks...
Water, water, water is the flavour of the day!
No junk
also AF has decided to visit, so I need to focus on some stretching and less salty foods...cause i know I will be wanting some warm hot chips whilst feeling bloaty...

Well I think my scales are either getting flat or just plain lying to me....today they say 83.75kg WTF!!!!...
I need to kick my own a$$ some more...I just am sooo tired lately that it is sucking the motivation right out of me...
Going to attempt to run around my yard today and complete a "biggest loser" workout...I also think I will set goals per day instead of per week, as the weekly goals are just not working for me...but the daily one's might be more acheiveable...
here's hoping anyway...
